Happenings curated by Forever BungalowsFarms & Markets

Organic farming is a distinctive “thing” on the East End of Long Island. The 15th season of the Sag Harbor Farmers Market, which runs from May through October, is located on Bay Street in Sag Harbor, just east of Marine Park.

Saturdays 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Sag Harbor Farmers Market

You won’t find your regular variety store-bought food at the Farmers Market in Sag Harbor. Instead, you will discover an assortment of fresh produce that is revolutionizing the way we think, behave, and eat. Thirteen years ago the tightly knit community of Sag Harbor was the first East End village to embrace an assemblage of vendors offering locally grown food, which has since spread to other Hamptons towns and villages. There’s a certain magic one feels upon encountering the Sag Harbor market as you’re greeted by the majestic beauty of the nearby bay. The market itself is like a mini-city of clustered tents each one bursting with edible surprises from many types of colorful veggies, exotic mushrooms, Artisanal cheeses, freshly caught seafood, baked goods, refreshing wines, honey and lots more. The vendors are very friendly and happy to chat with you.

Most of our vendors sell food products that are local and that meet certain criteria for sustainability as determined by either the USDA Organic Certification Board or the “Farmer’s Pledge” of the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New York.
